What is amp DIY?
amp DIY is our self-installation program. You order the amp device through amp.ai, we ship it directly to you, and you install it yourself using our official step-by-step instructions and free 3D installation guide.
Choosing DIY saves you $200 on your purchase. The discount is applied automatically at checkout, so there's no coupon code to enter.

Membership: amp membership is $36/month with a 12-month minimum commitment. Billing starts when your amp device is delivered to your home.

Before you buy: check your space
Because you'll be installing the amp device yourself, please confirm that your home meets amp's installation requirements before you purchase.
Wall: A wall with two studs (wood or metal, spaced 12 to 24 inches apart), or a solid surface such as poured concrete, cinderblock, or solid wood.
Power: A grounded, standard 120V outlet nearby (within 5 feet of the device).
Space: At least 3 feet of width, 7 feet of clear space in front of the wall, and a ceiling height of at least 7 feet.

Concrete, cinderblock, or metal studs? These walls need specific mounting hardware. We've tested and highly recommend the following:

Agree to the DIY Self-Installation Addendum. At checkout, check the box confirming you've read and agree to the DIY Self-Installation Addendum (waiver and terms) and that you're responsible for installing your amp device. You can't complete your purchase without it.
We ship it to you. Your amp device ships directly to your home within 3 business days of purchase.

How it works
Installation comes down to three stages: find your spot and mark it with the template, mount the brackets and shelf, then hang, level, and test your amp device. Here's the full overview:
Find two studs (or a solid surface).
Mark the holes with the template.
Drill the pilot holes.
Attach the lower wall bracket.
Attach the upper wall bracket.
Attach the shelf.
Protect the shelf with a towel.
Hang the amp device on the brackets.
Level it and tighten the M8 bolt.
Thread the 4 M6 shelf bolts halfway.
Level the shelf and tighten all bolts.
Connect the charging cable and fit the bolt cover.
Slide on the back cover.
Plug in and power on.
Test your amp device.
Important: The steps differ for wood studs, metal studs, and concrete. Always follow the full 3D guide in the BILT app (search "ampfit") for your wall type.
A few tips:
Follow the official instructions exactly and use only the mounting hardware provided or recommended by amp.
If you run into a problem, stop and contact us. Please don't attempt modifications or workarounds that aren't part of the official instructions.
Safety first: Do not use the amp device until it has been securely installed according to amp's installation requirements and instructions.

Complete onboarding in the app.
Connect your amp device.
With your amp membership, you'll get access to personalized workouts, AI coaching, and more.
